Olivia Williams has offered details about her guest starring role on Friends that she previously described as 'harrowing'.
The 53-year-old British actress recently told The Independent about her experience portraying Felicity on the season four finale of the NBC sitcom and what made it distressing.
'Gosh. Well, just as an example, I was taken to the studio in a shared car with a wonderful actress whose character, I think, was called ''Old Woman'',' Olivia said.
Olivia recalled that the older actor was 'very good' and 'distinguished', yet was still singled out for firing.
'At one point, a producer – who shall remain nameless – just yelled at her: ‘You’re not funny!'',' Olivia said with a theatrical gasp.

'And she didn’t come back the next day. So that was alarming,' Olivia added.
Olivia also noted that Friends was a 'brand' that she had to fit.
'You go into hair and make-up and you’re told, ‘There’s a look here, this is what we do.’ And that involved, essentially, plucking off all of your eyebrows,' Olivia said.
She recalled trying to save her eyebrows in case she needed them for another job.
'But yes, that’s the sense in which it was harrowing,' Olivia said.
